A Photo of the Week is evidence as well as art. Until a photographer grants the necessary rights and the caption is verified, the correct editorial image is no image at all.

The first edition will include the photographer's name, capture date, general location, caption sources, edit disclosure, and a plain-language rights line. Sensitive places and people receive an additional safety review.

What qualifies

A Fort Collins or Northern Colorado documentary photograph with a specific civic or cultural story.

Weekly only when a qualifying image clears rights, caption, identity, and location review

What must clear before publication

No image renders without a rights receipt. Generated imagery, stock, screenshots, and scraped social images are ineligible for documentary Photo of the Week coverage.
